Franco Metaza has a degree in Foreign Affairs. He completed his degree thesis on representativeness in the Parliament of Mercosur. He served as Director-General of International Relations of the Senate of the Argentine Nation (2020-2023).

He was previously General Coordinator of the "Unit of Planning and management control" of the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of Argentina. He participated in several G20 summits leading the youth delegation of his country (Mexico 2012, Russia 2013, Australia 2014 and Turkey 2015). He was also "advisor to the Board" for the International area of the National Bank of Argentina. 

He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in Defense.

On December 10, 2023, he took office as a member of Parliament of Mercosur for which he was elected.
